Sometimes it can be hard to save granola for breakfast, because you’ll just end up eating it as a snack because it is so good. This is that kind of granola. Granola is definitely a healthier breakfast or a snack.
Granola with dates
Ingredients
- 800 ml oats
- 300-400 ml nuts and seeds
- 100 ml shredded coconut
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
- A little cardamom, ginger and vanilla essence
- 100 ml juice - either apple or orange
- 70 ml honey
- 1-2 Tbsp. coconut oil
- 200 ml dates
- 2 bananas
Instructions
- Heat the juice, honey and coconut oil in a pot until it is melted. Pour it into a blender with dates and bananas. At the end pour in the nuts to chop them a little.
- Pour the mixture into the mixed dry ingredients.
- Spread the granola out on a lined baking tray. Bake for 1 hour on 150 degrees Celsius. Turn the granola over a few times while it is in the oven.
